PPSO August’s Monthly Meeting with Rod & Lynda Brown

“Increasing your sales” is a program about using products to further your bottom line on portrait sales. Once the portraits are taken we need to do everything possible to get the most sales out of that customer. They love the portraits and by giving them may other choices to choose from we can step up our sale to the next level.

Lynda & Rod will show you different ways to help you increase your sales with products, effects, and programs. We will also show you how to use pricing to increase sales.

Lynda has developed art products and other items that are used with their client’s portraits to increase sales at their studio. Finding other ways to increase your sales on each portrait session is a key to increasing your final order total.  In today’s market we need to make the best of each and every sale. Clients are looking for one stop shopping so we need to try and accommodate all their needs.

Rod and Lynda Brown are a husband and wife team who seamlessly combine their different talents to provide their clients with photographic works of art. Their love for photography and people show through in the work they do on a daily basis. Whether working together in the studio or at events they always keep energy levels high, making their photography quick, easy and fun. This year Rod and Lynda both were awarded Top Ten in Ohio for their photography.

Rod’s love for photography is visible in every image he creates. His passion for the profession is to create portraits that bring out the personality of each of his subjects.  His peers have recognized his work over the years with many state and national awards.

Rod holds the degrees of “Master of Photography”, “Photographic Craftsman” from the Profession Photographers of America and is Fellow with the American Society of Photographers. He is a Past President of the Professional Photographers of Ohio, Northwest Ohio, served on State and regional boards and is a nationally approved Photographic exhibition judge, judging here in the states and in Korea. Rod has had many photographs published in the PPA Loan Collection and Showcase books every year.

With a background in art, Lynda brings a creative approach to the business at Rod Brown Photography.  In addition to being the Studio manager she assists  her husband and partner Rod with all types of photography including being the second shooter at weddings. This gives their photography two unique perspectives. Lynda also enjoys photographing on trips that she and Rod take, she has won blue ribbons for her photography and merits from the Professional Photographers of America. In 2011 she received her Masters of Photography from PPA. This year she was a diamond photographer of the year. Lynda studied art in college, is an accomplished painter, and interior decorator. She was won many awards from the Photographic Art Specialist of Ohio (PASO) and was once named artist of the year and is a past president of that organization. In addition to her art with the camera and brushes she is a highly skilled computer artist.

Her enhancements of portraits with Photoshop giving their images a polished look, as Rod likes to say “she makes me look good. She has developed art products and other items that are used with their client’s portraits to increase sales at their studio.
