His Specialties include Adobe Photoshop (for which he is an Adobe Certified Expert), Adobe PageMaker, and a host of related third-party software, including business presentation software.

This course is designed to demonstrate the advantages of offering custom digital wedding related albums and products. Learn how to produce stunning, one of a kind wedding albums with a minimum of effort and cost.

From album design to telephone and consultation techniques as well as some unique, can't-be-duplicated-items, you'll see how easy it can be to make the phone ring. Even better, you'll see how price is not an issue and how you can rid yourself of the more annoying aspects of wedding photography!

Presidents Message

Hello everybody,
Another month of summer has come & gone.......Where is it going too? It seems like just a day or two ago I had the heater on in the car. The summer months should bring everyone extra business. Weddings, sports, seniors, & children. That's what we're here for.
I want to thank Charlie for helping me with my new 10D...If it wasn't for him I would still be learning how to turn it on.
Bob has got us a GOOD speaker this month.....I hope I see everyone there.
Don't forget Bob Thomas' little cookout on August 22-------Fun & food for everyone.
Are you getting ready for IPPG's print competition? It's only 1 1/2 months away.
Work---Work---Work No play makes one too old to quick.
I'll leave you this month with this little saying.
Middle age is the awkward period when Father Time starts catching up with Mother Nature.
James

Proposed Change to the PPSO Constitution

As many of you know, there was a section left out the last time the constitution was voted on. This could cause problems in the future because it would allow someone to be elected president, or other board position, without having any knowledge of how things in the organization operate. This change is also necessary to keep continuity on the board. Since the constitution was voted on by the membership, this change will need to be voted on also. The vote will take place at the September meeting. If you have any questions, please contact one of the board members.

 ARTICLE VI (Meetings), Section B

The way the constitution presently reads

Nominations shall be made from the floor during the October membership meeting. The immediate Past-President will coordinate and preside over the election process

 Proposed Change

Nominations will be made during the October meeting. The immediate past president will be responsible for the handling of the elections. At the October meeting the Chairman of the Board will present the incoming President, Vice president, and Treasurer to the general membership. Nominations may be made from the floor for the offices of Secretary and the two elected board members.

Open House - All PPSO members are invited to an open house at Echoes of Light Fine Photography (Bob Thomas' studio). The open house will be held on Aug. 22, 4:00pm-8:30pm. Most photographers love to explore another studio - This one is different. Bob will have sandwich stuff, sodas and chips.

Welcome Past Members - If you are in contact with any PPSO past members, pass on the following information. Past members can attend our regular monthly meeting for $20. If they choose to rejoin our organization in the following 60 days, the $20 will be subtracted from their membership dues.

PPSO Membership Certificates - Each PPSO member should have received a membership certificate to display in their studio. If you did not receive one, see James Hensley at the August meeting.
