John Stein
"Basic Website Design"
John Started his own photography business, Special
Moments Photography, 14 years ago from the basement of his house. He quickly
expanded his business to his current 1200 square foot location in Middletown,
Maryland.
 
He received Certification in 2000. He received
both his PPA Craftsman Degree and his Associate Fellow of Photography Degree
from the Maryland PPA in 2005. He is currently an Honorary Trustee of PPA
Charities and the State Representative for the American Society of Photographers
(ASP). In 2003 he was awarded the Southeast Award from the Southeastern
Professional Photographers Association (SEPPA) for outstanding service.
He received the honor of having the Pet Portrait of the Year in 2004, Best
Black & White Photograph in 2005 and the Presidents Award in 2005 from
the Maryland Professional Photographers Association.
 
BASIC WEBSITE DESIGN
The course will cover basic information concerning web site development.
Basic HTML coding, META Tags, Meta Phrases, copyright protecting your images
on web pages, selecting hosting companies,getting listed on search engines
and basic web page design rules. Page design in Microsoft Front Page will
be covered along with creating Flash animations in a new program called
Swish.
 
The course is not intended to enable you t build a complete web site
but to give you an understanding of web page development and to allow you
to begin designing a web page or to be able to tell your web master what
you want done.
