Dayton Hosts Two Photo Exhibits of Note

PPSO Members who live in Dayton or who are visiting for the MES convention at the end of February have the chance to take in two worthwhile exhibits, one at the Art Institute, the other at the Boonshoft Natural History Museum.

The Dayton Art Institute will feature the winners of the Little Miami River Partnership competition, along with some supplemental photos by various photographers involved with the competition. The photos illustrate various aspects of the Little Miami River Watershed, some showing the area untouched by humans, some showing its recreational uses, and some showing the debilitating effects of humans upon the watershed.

At the Boonshoft, opening on February 15, is an exhibit of 60 bird pictures by author and photographer Kenneth A. Brown. These pictures are remarkable for their intimacy, clarity, and extraordinarily high quality of printing. This show will run through May and will absolutely repay a visit.
