Meet the PRESIDENT! Its amazing how people in your life influence you. In 1988 my brother Charlie asked me to go to a wedding with him that he was photographing. When I saw the joy and love in the bride and grooms eyes, I wanted to be a part of that. I began to study photography, attend seminars, and workshops. My wife Shirley and I live in Germantown and we operate " Photography by Woods" from our home. With our six kids and eleven grandchildren we keep busy. MEMBERSHIP CHALLENGE! Any member bringing a guest who joins PPSO, will receive a FREE MEAL at the monthly meeting when the new member becomes official. PPO CONVENTION NEWS

The 51st annual PPO Convention is going to be held right here at the Convention Center in Dayton!! Wednesday, March 3 and runs through Monday, March 8. The line up of speakers and workshops this year are incredible, so be sure to register early! Go to www.ppofohio.org to register and find out the schedule of events. Be sure VOLUNTEER at the convention! It's lots of fun and a great way to meet other photographers! As the Host Affiliate, we want to make sure that all photographers from around the state (and surrounding states) enjoy their stay in Dayton so it's up to us to give them the RED CARPET TREATMENT while they're here! I had the pleasure of this type of royal treatment this month when I visited Patterson -Chase Co. in Dayton. I had gone to innumerous shops around town, trying to accomplish the final tedious details of a huge project with no success. No one wanted to attempt the challenge I presented to them, until I walked through the doors of Patterson Chase. They welcomed the challenge without hesitation and accomplished it with precision, within the time they promised! At this point I would have paid just about anything to get the job done and they knew it, but they charged a minimal amount and just said..."come back"...You can bet I will.
