James Garber

"Posing & Lighting"
This month James Garber will bring us a
program on posing and lighting. He has many tips which should help us all
improve the final look of our photographs. Garber began his photographic
career in 1966 after eight years as a high school band and choral director.
He soon became a leading wedding photographer in the Richmond, VA, area.
In 1975 Garber switched entirely to commercial photography. During this
time he worked with such companies as Reynolds Metals, Rubbermaid, Stihl
(Chainsaws), Volvo Marine Engines, and Miller-Morton (Chapstick and Sergeants
Pet Products). In 1993 he moved to Brazil, IN, where he and his wife, Linda,
opened a portrait and wedding studio.

Since that time he has earned many awards
in state, regional and national competitions. He has placed in the Top Ten
at the Indiana Convention for the past 5 years and 4 of the past 5 years
at the Mid-East States Convention. This year he will have 3 prints in the
PPA Loan Collection. He is a Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) and
has received both his Masters and Craftsman degrees from Professional Photographers
of America.
