Equipment and Software

- CANON & NIKON & HASSELBLAD DIGITAL are now the most dominate
photographic systems of the professional and advanced photographic enthusiasts.

- Film is NOT dead, but has become a speciality.

- Which digital system and why?
Is the # of pixels a measure of quality?
Size vs size - Pixel count vs pixel size
Pixel Depth - What is it? Is it important? How?
What other factors really make a difference in quality?

- Discussion points:
Blooming, Halos, Aberrations

- Good images start in the camera.
After the capture what can we do to maintain or improve the quality?
Beautiful images are a challenge and a treasure - and all the technical science
and equipment help, but does not make the photograph. It is the photographer's
talent in composition and lighting combined with the ability to determine proper
exposure values for traditional or digital capture and utilizing techniques that
were never possible before digital that is the key to superior images.

- Color Spaces, Profiles & Output.
Understanding bit depth, resolution and file formats

- Workflow
Streamline the workflow to improve quality and time
What is workflow really? More than just snapping a lot of images and picking
the "killer" ones.
Workflow starts with your idea or vision
Composition
Exposure
Transfer
RAW Processing

- Digital & Fine Art
Fine Art 4x5, 8x10, 8x16 & LARGER
