PPSO President’s message

Thanks to everyone who was able to attend our most recent monthly meeting in February at Chantrell’s in Springboro. This begins a new chapter in the history of our organization. Our speaker, internationally re-known Michael Ayers put on quite an impressive program.

As winter moves by us, I am excited to announce the Mid East States Convention is quickly approaching the weekend of Feb 25-28 right here in Dayton, Ohio. For more information please access the PPO website at www.ppofohio.org We need volunteers from our organization in various functions. If you are able to help, please contact Dave Chambers and Suzette McIntyre for where you may be needed.

Keep in mind, there are many numerous organizations that you may become more familiar with to increase your knowledge and keep up on the many exciting trends that are happening in our industry. WPPI, PPA, PMA, PPO, KYPPA, just to name a few are always hosting trade shows and conventions.

Why not try for your CPP? There are numerous advertising and professional benefits to being a Certified Professional Photographer. There are programs for PPA as well as Ohio CPP. See me in person for more information.

As a member of these organizations, it can be quite expensive to but I can tell you that there is no better bargain in the business than to be a member right here with PPSO! As many local affiliates are losing members, we are continuing to grow and prosper. We had 35 people attending the last meeting. In November, we had 44 people in attendance and almost ran out of food. Two years ago our average was about 23 at a meeting. Thanks for your continued support to PPSO. Please continue to encourage others to attend as well. Come for social time at 6:30 pm and relax with your friends.

The board of directors is please to present an all day PPA Continuing Education Merit Program featuring award winning photographer, Becky Jones from West Virginia. At just $79 per person to attend, $59 for PPSO members who register by March 7, it is an incredible bargain. We have even set up a

Buffet lunch included. Won’t you join us? Our program will be on photographing and working with male subjects and how to take control of the session and sales presentation. Plan to spend a great day with us on March 13.
