Editor's Note
The April meeting was a HUGE success with Jon, Joe and Linda Johnson sharing
their very successful approach to the senior photography market. I think
everyone left with something they could put to use the next day in their
own operations.
The May meeting will feature Darrell Moll PPA Certified, M. Photog. Cr API
CPP. Darrell's subject is "Copy Right's...& Wrongs". We all
are being impacted to varying degrees by the illegal copying of our work.
It seems this subject is brought up in a question to almost every speaker
at our meetings. Well, Monday, May 2, is an evening which will have this
issue as it's primary focus. Click on the "Meeting Information"
link to get more information about Darrell and this subject.
It has been suggested that I include information on various technical topics
around digital capture and/or Photoshop or other software programs. Soooooo,
with this issue, I have added a page called "Tips
& Techniques". I have started things off with 3 ways to eliminate
"fringe pixels" when creating a collage. Please send in your "Tips
& Techniques" for inclusion in this column. Our first submission
was received from Don Spangler. Don describes a process for removing dust
spots with the least amount of blurriness added by the "dust and scratches"
filter. Check out this page!!
The Members Page" has been updated to provide the opportunity for you
to include an image with your studio name. This is where the public goes
when they click on the "Find a Photographer" link from our Home
Page. Also, you may now place four of your images in a "mini-gallery"
linked to your studio name. This feature has been added for several studios.
Go check them out. If you wish to add your image(s) to your listing, size
your images to no
larger than 4x5 at 72 dpi .jpg's and attach them to an e-mail to me. Be
sure to identify which image you wish placed on the listing page.
I look forward to seeing all of you at Chantrell's on Monday, May 2.
