Didn't get to say much about the WPPI convention at the last meeting, however it is now or soon will be the most significant Professional Photo convention in the world. Approximately eleven thousand photographers attended the 08 event to hear and see over sixty platform and master class speakers. It has outgrown the Ballys/Paris facility and will be held at the MGM Grand casino/convention facilities in "09" It will be called "World Imaging Expo" and will be held over the week of February 16 through 18, 2009. This convention is truly a mind boggling learning experience and photo opp for Vegas and NOW is not too early to start planing to attend next year.

Our speaker for the May meeting will again be Michael Ayers with a completely new program. I'm told that it will be about weddings and wedding workflow. Michael is always entertaining and full of information. Don't miss it!

The June workshop will soon be upon us and we already have Twenty-two participants signed up. If you plan to attend, you may want to send your check soon as our limit is about sixty people and is beginning to fill up fast. This year we will be using the large room at Cox Arboretum and the park should be in good condition for outdoor model shoot. Remember the admission fee includes a box lunch and evening meal at Chantrells. I'm looking for a good turnout this year. Pray for good weather!
