will present
"Setting Yourself up for Success"
Children and Family Photography
When it comes to children's photography,
the biggest obstacle that most photographers must overcome is getting over
the fear of working with a child. Most photographers are simply afraid to
photograph children. When most photographers see a child on their books
they tend to tense up and start to over-plan.
Planning for families should be limited
to clothing consultation and location choice. Spontaneity can never be planned.
Believe it or not, community involvement and client relationships and a
great sense of fun-loving humor set conditions for spontaneity.
In short, over-planning and squelched spontaneity
kills children and family portrait sessions.
Today's digital revolution allows photographers
to increase their chances for getting saleable images and get opportunities
to "wow" their children and family clients with the same range
of digital products they offer their senior clients.
Leonard will share marketing opportunities
for gaining new clients, tips for spontaneous children and family sessions,
and ideas for integrating digital products in with your regular price list.
