When I first decided that I wanted to have my own photography studio, I made the decision to join the PPSO. This turned out to be one of the best decisions of my business life. Now I know in todays world that you can ‘in the comfort of your home’ view tons of online education. But you can’t watch an instructor live, and you are not able to ask questions to that instructor or other professionals sitting with you. This along with being able to make long lasting business and professional relationships with many of the areas top photographers is priceless. The extremely low membership cost to join the PPSO is a “no brainer” to anyone who wants to succeed and prosper in this profession.
My first meeting at ppso was interesting and motivating. My photography journey is now enriched with image competitions and a photography training class designed to help me pass the cpp test to become a Certified Professional Photographer. I would encourage others to become a part of an organization that is doing photo work and not just talking about it. The quality of speakers are exceptional.
Relatively new to the photography business a few years ago, I wanted to find local professionals to network with. I was excited to discover PPSO! Going to a meeting where you don’t know anyone can be intimidating, but I was warmly welcomed and never looked back! Great monthly speakers, special learning opportunities, print competitions, and of course friendships, have made PPSO a wonderful part of my photography career!
